Life the way it is?

Our own realities...created from our differing perceptions, experiences of life. We sit arguing over whose world is real, probably neithers or probably both. We look at things in our own way....the way life "should" be lived...should it be lived in the structures that have continued since time immorial or should it be lived in a new way? Why people were even happy when they lived life in the defined lines of society or morality, so what is the problem now? Why should we make a change in our beliefs, in our attitutudes, in our behaviours? Ups and downs, sorrow and joy are a part of life we have been told....so why should we try to make the effort to lead a completely happy, peaceful life? We have always been told that working for others not ourselves is the key to liberation, so why should we need to spend any time on our own selves.....isn't that simply selfish? Acceptance....isn't that the most essential tool for survival we've been told.......accepting all there is around you? Or is it that maybe we have misinterpreted acceptance for avoidance.....accept life the way it is, so we rather just avoid it completely.....roaming around in our comfort zones, avoiding talking or embracing what we can't "accept". Why have we made so many conclusions about life? Is it because somewhere we can't work with life the way it is.....the only reality?
